However Will I Do This?

I love
Coke.
Coke.
Coke.
Coke.

When I say love, what I mean to say is that I am addicted to Coke. Real, real, real bad.

And so, sadly and quite nervously, that is what I have chosen to give up [whimper] for Lent, which begins tomorrow. I can feel the tears rising up already. What would you or are you giving up this season?

Goodbye my vice love...

  1. I'M WITH YOU!!!!!! You, me, and Jesus... we can do it together, I know we can. (not like the New Year's resolution version where you gave up diet and I gave up regular -- that definitely DID NOT work... although we did stick to it)

  4. Oh how, I am right there with you! I would give it up, but I feel like it is asking for failure. The addiction is too deep. But it is supposed to be a sacrifice, right? Done! No more Coke! Putting this discipline to the test.

  6. I was TOTALLY addicted for YEARS. Then, when we decided to get pregnant, I gave up my caffeine addiction for good. Super hard, but it was made much easier by my determination to have a healthy baby. I still haven't gone back! ;) Good luck!

  7. I recently gave up Diet Coke, and I've been drinking it for YEARS. It wasn't even really a conscious decision. I randomly just decided I was going to start drinking Sprite instead. But maybe that doesn't really count, because Sprite is still a Coke product...I don't know. Anyway, I've never given anything up for lent before. I heard it's hard to stick to. Good luck to you!

  8. I said I was giving up chocolate.
My roommate wants to do sweets all together.
My other roommate said she would do Coke.
    This will be challenging.

    Good luck girl!

  10. happy saturday!

I am addicted to the other caffeine.. coffee. Gave it up for 9 months when I was pregnant- cold turkey is the best way to do it. I actually thought about giving it up for good, but.. my husband brought me coffee in the hospital the day after my daughter was born.. and we've been together again ever since (coffee and I). Oh well.
